Privacy practices check out. The only reason they're not first is that they want $125 for a job Idaho defines identically at $99.

The $90 headline is real, and it's the lowest number on the page. Third place anyway, because nobody could show us how year one gets billed over there, and confirmed numbers outrank mystery numbers on this page. If saving nine bucks a year settles it for you, no argument from us. Just read their checkout terms at half speed first.

#4 Rocket Lawyer

$125 flat at every membership tier, no teaser rate found, and honestly, points for that. The snag is what it's attached to: a whole legal platform of document templates and lawyer consultations, with agent service as one feature inside it. Use the platform and the math works. Need only the agent and you're paying rent on rooms you never enter.

#5 ZenBusiness

Best dashboard in the business, attached to a price that doubles on cue: $99 plus state fees to start, $199 a year once renewal season arrives. Judge it by the $199, because that's what every year after the first will cost you. And remember where you are: Idaho lets you walk away from any agent for free, so a doubling bill deserves exactly zero loyalty.

#6 Bizee (formerly Incfile)

Free agent service for three to twelve months when it comes inside a formation package, which is a genuine perk if you're filing an Idaho Certificate of Organization anyway. Standalone it's $149 a year, and the meter starts the day your free months run out. Bizee won't warn you that day is coming. Your calendar app will, if you tell it now.

$249 a year, auto-renewing, no first-year break that we could find. That's the steepest flat rate in the table, wrapped in the most famous name. If the name calms you down, that's a real thing you're buying. Just know the appointment itself works exactly like the $90 version and the $99 version; Idaho's statute doesn't award style points.

$149 a quarter. Grab a calculator: that's about $596 a year, the biggest total on the page, and no first-year deal softens it. Nothing's wrong with the service itself. Everything's wrong with the billing rhythm, which turns one alarming number into four forgettable ones. Do the multiplication before they do it to you.

Year one costs nothing. Every year after costs, well, they don't say. We combed the homepage, the FAQ, and the premium packages during our July 2026 pass and found no renewal price printed anywhere; apparently the figure only appears once you're at checkout or talking to a sales rep. On a price comparison page, a hidden price ranks itself. Last. If the number flattered them, it would be in 40-point type.

The $0 Exit Idaho Built Into SOSBiz

Everything above gets more interesting once you know this: dropping a registered agent in Idaho is free. The paperwork is the state's Statement of Change form, one filing that swaps your agent, your registered office, or both at once, and it has no form number at all, since Idaho doesn't number its SOS forms. The formation industry loves selling annual report filing as an add-on, and here's why that pitch falls flat in Idaho: the state's annual report costs $0 filed online, and it barely qualifies as a filing. Who Idaho Lets You Appoint, and What Starting Costs

Idaho runs on the Model Registered Agents Act, codified in Title 30, Chapter 21 of the Idaho Code, with the duty to keep an agent in § 30-21-402 and the designation mechanics in § 30-21-404. The eligibility list is short. An individual agent must be an Idaho resident; a company agent has to be an entity already on file with the state's business registry. Assumed business names are barred from the role outright. The address has to be a real Idaho street address, and the state is explicit that PO boxes and commercial personal mail boxes both flunk. Every one of the nine services above qualifies, so eligibility was never the ranking question.

One number for anyone still at the starting line: forming an Idaho LLC means filing a Certificate of Organization, $100 online through SOSBiz or $120 on paper. Like most things in this state's filing system, the online route is the cheaper one.
