The $99 Never Becomes $199 Here
Pay one annual fee — $99 — for registered agent representation in Idaho. The address goes on your filings, legal mail gets scanned same-day, and we remind you before state deadlines.
Quick honesty check before any numbers. This is Idaho Registered Agent.co's own site, and yes, we sell the thing sitting in the right-hand column below. Everything attributed to ZenBusiness is on ZenBusiness's pricing page. Go look if you want to; it takes a minute.
The Dashboard Is Nice. Really.
Whatever else this page argues, the ZenBusiness interface is one of the better ones anybody has built for small business admin. Formation progress, your filed documents, and mail from your agent all show up in one place, and it feels designed rather than assembled. If you want a single console where the registered agent is one tile among several, that is a real product and buying it is a defensible choice.
Year One $99. Year Two $199. Forever.
Buy the agent service on its own, without a formation package under it, and ZenBusiness lists $99 plus state fees to start. Renewals run $199 annually and keep running at $199 for the whole life of the account. Neither number is hidden. The second one is just the one your business lives with.
The step-up is a bet on inertia, and that bet is usually a good one, because switching anything feels like a project. In Idaho it mostly is not. The change of agent goes through SOSBiz, which is the same portal, with the same login, that you already open once a year to file the annual report. Not a new account, not a new agency, not a different website. One extra filing in a system you have used before, and the state's charge for it is $0.
Worth knowing while you are in there: the annual report runs through that same dashboard. You pick your entity out of your list of records, confirm the details the state already holds on you, and submit. Cost, $0. Paper is technically possible but only in person at the Boise office, with the same $20 manual charge attached, which tells you plainly which route the state would prefer you take.
Which means the friction that makes the $199 stick is thinner here than it is almost anywhere else.

What $99 Buys, Start to Finish
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order Here- Papers hit our Idaho office, get scanned, and are in your email the same day
- Our Idaho street address on the public filing instead of your kitchen table
- A private document vault holding everything we have ever received for you
- Anniversary month alerts, so the report never catches you sideways
- The identical $99 at renewal, with no tier above you to graduate into
Not the cheapest, to be clear about it. BetterLegal posts $90 a year. We sit in the low group and our number does not move, which is the honest version of the claim.
Swapping Out ZenBusiness: Cost, $0
Idaho does this with a single statement, and it handles an agent swap, an office address swap, or both in one pass. Nothing on it is numbered; the state simply does not assign numbers to these forms. Idaho Code § 30-21-407 is where the statement of change lives. Free through SOSBiz; $20 if you insist on paper and someone has to process it by hand.
Do it in this order. Enroll with us, so there is an agent who has actually agreed to serve for the statement to name. File. Watch for the record to update. Then stop the ZenBusiness renewal. Cancelling the plan first does nothing to Idaho's record, and the point of the sequence is that your entity never spends a day on the register without an agent behind the name. Every step is on the Idaho switching page.
